Forget Alejandro or Te Amo, this summer’s hottest latin-inspired pop video belongs to Belinda, Mexico’s answer to Hannah Montana.

The 20 year old pop singer and telenovela queen vamps it up with rapper Pitbull for Egoista, the first official single from her new album Carpe Diem.

Egoista is a marked departure from her previous pop/rock sound. Egoista (or “Selfish”) is instead autotune-heavy, Poker Face-inspired electropop.

Vanessa Carlton comes out

Vanessa Carlton publicly acknowledged that she is a “proud bisexual woman” at Nashville Pride (see video):

Before you ask, she’s a singer who had those pop/rock hits in the early 2000′s. Not Michelle Branch, but the other one who sang the song, A Thousand Miles on her moving piano. I always wondered how they made that video. Did they just stuff her on the back of a truck and hope she wouldn’t fall off?

You know what? The song is eight years old, but its aged really well! I don’t care, I reckon it’s a classic of that decade.

Take Charice to the top, Australia!

Charice continues her worldwide campaign and Australia is next!

Pyramid continues to climb Australian radio, this week being the country’s 6th most added song. She’s climbed up four spots after being no. 10 last week.

Unfortunately though, the song has been stalling on Australia’s iTunes for the past week, languishing in the top 120′s. At the moment she’s no. 126, after Survivor‘s Eye of the Tiger. I mean, as classic as that song is, come on!

It’s time to request her on Aussie radio (she’s been playlisted on Austereo‘s Hot30 Countdown among others), buy her single and drive her up the charts.

Kelly Rowland‘s long-awaited video for Commander has been released in HQ! It features cameos from Rico Love and David Guetta, who morphs into a turntable at one point.

The video was supposedly more polished than the low-quality version that leaked a few weeks ago.

Lady GaGa has finally unveiled her brand new, Steven Klein-directed video – Alejandro!

So was the 8 minute plus-long clip for her favorite song off The Fame Monster worth the wait?

Sure was!!! Militaristic choreography, lots of gay innuendo, a bizarre Tsarina-like character complete with a smoking pipe and even religious imagery…it’s a cracker of a video. I mean, she dresses as a nun and swallows rosary beads!

Kylie’s Aphromix

A mixtape featuring songs from Kylie‘s upcoming album, Aphrodite, has made its way onto YouTube. Holy shit the album sounds AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Stuart Price-produced album is classic Kylie. Meaning an album full of dance pop anthems that will explode in any gay club. I already love the sound of Get Outta My Way and Aphrodite.

The album is released in July.
